MEET YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER

Not every fairytale starts with Once Upon a Time. Some start with muddy hems, nervous laughter, and a moment that feels too good to be real.

BOUDOIR AND ELOPEMENT PHOTOGRAPHER
IN SCOTLAND & ALBERTA

I’m Kaitlyn.

Elopement & boudoir photographer, storyteller, and spicy novel aficionado.

I’ve always been a storyteller.

I studied history and classics, dreaming of uncovering lost myths and lost stories in dusty archives. I spent years working in libraries, quietly hoping I’d stumble across a manuscript that could open a portal to another world.

When I realized I wasn’t going to find a portal, I created my own.

With a camera in my hand and a wild love for Scotland and Alberta’s most beautiful landscapes, I started telling stories of my own.

Stories about real people and real moments that feel like magic

…Stories like yours.

Basically, I’m a girl who believes in magic.

Not the wand-waving kind (though, I wouldn’t say no to that).
I mean the kind of magic you feel when you’re standing on a mountain top, hand-in-hand with the person you love most. The kind that happens when you see yourself draped in soft light, wearing your favourite lingerie (or a cosy tee), and realise you’re not just posing—you’re owning it.

That’s the magic I want to create.

Because fairytales aren’t just castles and glass slippers.

 They’re…

  • Hikes in wedding dresses.

  • Wind tugging at your veil as you say your vows on a cliff that stretches forever.

  • Standing by a crumbling ruins, feeling like you’ve wandered into another century.

  • Whispered vows on rugged Scottish cliffs.

  • Catching your partner’s eye mid-ceremony and feeling everything all at once.

  • Golden light slipping between pine trees.

  • A quiet moment by a crystal-clear lake, framed by peaks that touch the sky.

  • Laughing so hard you forget there’s a camera around.

  • Stepping out of your comfort zone to embrace yourself exactly as you are.

  • Embracing your spicy, fantasy-lovin’ side just because you wanna.

That’s the kind of fairytale I’m here to tell for you.

The first time I photographed a couple—laughing, totally connected, completely in their own world—something clicked.

I knew I wanted to spend my days photographing love in places that almost feel like they’re holding their breath, just waiting for a story to happen.

The misty magic of Scotland’s Highlands, where the land is ancient. Banff and Kananaskis, where the mountains and lakes look too awe-inspiring to be real. The quiet comfort of a moody studio, where the light catches all the right angles.

These are the places that pull me in.

Do they pull you in too?

Travel Guide

The best hidden gems, the cosiest stays, the pub with the perfect post-vow pint. I’ve got a list for that.

Calm in the Chaos

By the time we get to your elopement day, we won’t feel like strangers. Between our chats, the questionnaires, and probably a handful of meme exchanges, we’ll feel more like old friends.

“My experience with her made me wish that I had just eloped in the first place and ditched the high cost larger wedding.

After having a main ceremony a year prior in Edmonton my husband and I wanted to get some photo in the mountains with our wedding attire. Kaitlyn made the experience seamless - she provided recommendations to me for hair/makeup artist as well as a florist. That saved me the headache of having to vet vendors myself. My husband and I are definitely camera shy and awkward. Kaitlyn is hilarious and genuinely was able to make us comfortable and made us laugh (which made for some great photos).

I would highly recommend Kaitlyn for your photography needs.

You may now call me the Romance Archivist.

OH, AND DID I MENTION?

There’s a reason my photos feel like they’ve been pulled straight from a romantasy.

When I’m not capturing yours with my camera, I’m writing my own. Storytelling is in my blood.

I’m obsessed with legends, fairytales, and myths. Love that feels big (and a little spicy), windswept cliffs, sharp glances, and magical shadows stretching across castle walls?

That’s my world.

So yeah, if my photos hit different, it’s because I can’t help but see your day like a scene worth re-reading.

Ready to capture some photos that feel like a scene worth bookmarking?

I believe your story—the real, messy, wildly personal one—deserves to be captured in a way that feels like you. If you’re ready for photos that feel like your favourite chapter. The one you dog-ear, re-read, and tuck away for later. So am I.

Let’s make some magic.

NOT SURE WHERE TO START?

Eloping feels exciting, but overwhelming. You're thinking, Where the heck do we go? What’s legal? Do we need permits for those jaw-dropping Highland backdrops? And is a photographer enough, or should we hire a planner too?

Don’t worry. I’ve got you. Find all the answers (and more) in these handy elopement planning guides:
